  Crispy fried chicken was marinated for 24 hours and the flavor was outstanding. Delicious, I actually found myself liking my fingers. Mashed potatoes are cream corn complemented quite nicely, but wait, that is not all. Steaming bread rolls with garlic butter and apple butter were a treat to the palate as well. And the pies, you ask? Well, there is a good reason why they are famous for pies, the best!!!!!!!

  Waste of time and a lot of money. Chicken was ok but not worth the price. Very will done and did not get all of it till the end of my meal. Did not want to wait for another order. (Took long enough to get the first one) The other meals were ok. Nothing to write home about, but for the price I was very disappointed.
  I think more money went into the to go box then the pie itself. I really thought the pie was the size of the box. Wrong. You can get a much BETTER pies at Korgers for $9.99. And without all headaches. Our waitress for very nice and did a good job, it was busy. Bud must think that he is the only place to eat in the area to do what he dose and not care. He is not. Better places just 10 minutes down the road. So if you want to pay top dollar and get nothing to show for it go for it.

  Great choice for anyone interested in 'high end' comfort food. Whether it's their orange-glazed pork loin, shrimp-stuffed quail, or one of their heralded pies, Royer's always delivers a great meal. Add in a great wine list and an excellent dining experience is nearly assured. It's a small place that fills up quickly, so expect a wait, especially during peak dining hours.

  Their lunch menu is outstanding and their pies are hard to beat. Well worth the drive out here.
